Stand on the bridge and watch the stream or listen to the birdsong
Trees – horse chestnut (conker), lime, ash, sycamore, holly, hawthorn
Stepping-stones and beach for pond dipping
Grasses, mosses, lichen, fungus, ferns, nettles for insects, butterflies and bees
Blackbirds, robin, tits and many more …
With luck you might even see a kingfisher. Look out for the many birdboxes. Bats sometimes fly at dusk too.
You can find in the Wilderness: primroses, celandine, violets, wild garlic, wood anemone and cuckoo pint
Flowers galore in season
You can also see grey squirrels and small rodents. Look up into the canopy and down into the undergrowth.
